Full Professor in Ground Engineering. PhD in Civil Engineering and instructor in the Geotechnics Group in the University of Cantabria since 2008. His lines of research are soil improvement techniques, numerical methods and modelling of soft soils. Has done research stays in the Technical University of Graz in Austria, in the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom. Is author of diverse publications, is a member of the editorial board of “Computers and Geotechnics” and associate editor of “Geotextiles and Geomembranes”.
