Senior Lecturer in Geotechnical Engineering in the University of Cantabria since 1987 in graduate and postgraduate programs. Civil Engineer by the University of Cantabria in 1981 and PhD in Civil Engineering by the University of Cantabria in 1987. Has participated in six Spanish Competitive Research Projects (“Plan Nacional”) and in more than thirty research projects funded by private companies. Has one patent for a «Device to fasten geosinthetics in direct cut tests and associated fastening methods».
